Havilah and Scott | August 2, 2008
Considering the deluge of rain in the Northeast lately, I’d say Havilah and Scott were fairly lucky weather wise on their wedding day. The ceremony was moved to a local church, but we had some dry spells and nice light for family photographs. Running around in the rain, grass, and mud is also kind of fun. Havilah getting ready with some help from her grandmother.
This is the United Church of Craftsbury. Funny story: I decided to walk from the Inn on the Common over to the church because it would be quicker than waiting for the shuttles. I cut across a sports/town field near the church that looked dry, but was actually submerged in a few inches of water at the end. Decision time: hop the fence with a lot of expensive camera gear or ford the water? I chose water and completely soaked my shoes and feet, it wasn’t that bad.
